After completing the ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level-Agile Tester (CTAL-AT) course, you will be able to:
- Collaborate effectively in cross-functional agile teams while applying agile values and principles to software testing

prerequisites
We recommend practical experience in software testing as well as experience working in agile development projects.
To obtain the certification, participants must already hold the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certificate. Previous experience with agile ways of working will significantly facilitate understanding of the course content.
exam & certification
Participation in the exam ist optional. By default, we assume that you would also like to take the exam after the training. If you do not wish to participate, please remove the pre-selected exam booking option when registering for the course.
The exam lasts 90 minutes and, since the release of the new Agile Tester 2026 Version 2.0, is administered in person on the last day of the training course-provided there are enough exam participants in the class-immediately following the course as a paper- or tablet-based in-person exam. We´ll arrange your participation for you. The independent certification body charges a fee of 260,00 Euros plus VAT to administer the exam, which we will include in your training fees.
For online training courses, you can choose the exam date and time yourself. You can take the exam at a Pearson Vue test center or complete it online via the Pearson Vue exam plattform as online exam. We´ll provide you with an exam voucher to use during the payment process when booking.
Non-native speakers can request an extension of the exam time.
