The objective of every software development process is a functioning solution that meets all the requirements of the various stakeholders and the (legal, technical) regulatory framework. The task of the requirements engineer is to collect these requirements and necessities by means of discussions, observations or other research, to specify them, to validate them and finally to communicate them to the ( third-party) developers of the software solution.
